On the feast day of Saint Stephen cel Mare, representatives of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese concelebrated at the Liturgy in a monastery of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

On July 2, 2026, clergy of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church took part in a festive divine service at the Romanian monastery of Putna, on the occasion of the repose of Saint Stephen cel Mare, whose holy relics rest in this monastery. This was reported on the Facebook page of the diocese's faithful.

The festive Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Ephrem, a hierarch of the Antiochian Patriarchate. He was concelebrated by the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Melchizedek (Melnyk), the brethren of the monastery in holy orders, clergy of the Romanian Orthodox Church, and invited clergy.

By the blessing of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese, the dean of the Storozhynets deanery, Mitred Archpriest Vasyl Kovalchuk, together with the clergy of the diocese, arrived to share in the prayerful joy of the feast.

After the conclusion of the divine service, festive events dedicated to the memory of Saint Stephen cel Mare were held at the monastery.

As the UOJ reported, clergy of the Romanian Church served at the patronal feast in Krasnoilsk.
