Secretary Rubio urges respect for Christians’ right to call Jesus their King

Marco Rubio published a series of Paschal messages featuring Gospel quotes and a call for respect toward the Christian faith.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a Paschal address on the social media platform X, calling on the international community to respect the right of Christians to fully profess their faith.
“Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the king of kings and lord of all nations. This Holy Week and Easter, I call upon all nations to respect the right of Christians to declare Christ is King,” stated the head of the U.S. foreign affairs department.
In his series of Easter messages, Rubio also wrote: “On this Good Friday, Jeanette and I join with Christians around the world in reflecting on the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary.”
The U.S. Secretary of State also shared an image with Good Friday symbolism, containing a quote from the Gospel of Luke 23:46: “Jesus called out with a loud voice, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’”
These publications highlight the new U.S. administration’s commitment to traditional Christian values and its intention to defend religious freedom on the international stage.
As previously reported by the UOJ, former President Trump released an official Holy Week message.
