Transgender service members can now be discharged on the grounds that their gender identity harms combat readiness.

On May 6, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court granted permission to the administration of President Donald Trump to implement a ban on transgender military service, Reuters reports.

It is noted that this decision allows the armed forces to discharge thousands of transgender individuals currently serving and to reject new recruits while legal issues are being resolved.

The court granted the Department of Justice's request to lift a federal judge's injunction against the order. Now, transgender service members can be discharged with the justification that their gender identity negatively impacts combat readiness.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that LGBT representatives would play Jesus and Judas in a rock opera in the United States.
