SBU detains teenager who set fire to synagogue "on Russia's instruction"
The press service said that the youngster was trying to earn “easy money”.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained a 14-year-old teenager in Kryvyi Rih who allegedly “on the orders of Russian special services tried to burn down a local synagogue”.
The SBU's press service stated that the teenager prepared flammable materials, including two Molotov cocktails, to carry out the crime. Following "instructions from the occupiers," he waited until dark, arrived at the synagogue, and set fire to its entrance door, hoping the flames would spread.
"According to the case materials, the minor came to the attention of the occupiers when he was looking for 'easy money' on Telegram channels. However, the promised funds from Russia never arrived. Instead, he faces suspicion for committing a crime," the SBU wrote on their Facebook page.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote about the "instructions from Russian special services" to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
