Head of the Macedonian Church congratulates His Beatitude on his Name Day

Archbishop Stefan, on behalf of the entire fullness of the Macedonian Church, emphasized that the UOC is persecuted for the truth.

On June 25, 2025, the Primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Stefan, sent a congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuhry of Kyiv and All Ukraine on the occasion of his name day, the UOC Press Service reports.

In his message, Archbishop Stefan, on behalf of the entire fullness of the Macedonian Church, wished the Ukrainian Primate good health, a peaceful continuation of his labors, and prayerful sacrifices for the people entrusted to his care.

“The Ukrainian Orthodox Church, its clergy, and faithful people, who are persecuted for the truth, bear witness to their unwavering and strong faith, never forgetting that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs precisely to such as these!” the letter reads.

The Primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church also wished His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry many years of service on the throne of the Kyiv Metropolis, which abides under the protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Serbian Patriarch congratulated His Beatitude on his name day.
