Monastic tonsure performed in Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy
Following the tonsure, Metropolitan Agapit led the Divine Liturgy.
On July 2, 2025, on the feast day of the Apostle Jude, the brother of the Lord, Metropolitan Agapit of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Sharhorod performed a monastic tonsure in the house church in the village of Komarhorod, Vinnytsia region. This was reported by the press service of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy.
The Metropolitan tonsured Archpriest Georgy as a monk. He was given the name Nikolai in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
After the tonsure, the UOC hierarch and the clergy of the eparchy celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Agapit wished the newly tonsured monk God's help in bearing obediences and salvation in the Lord.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier Metropolitan Agapit performed a tonsure into the great schema in the church of Otchenashivka.
