OCU calls UOC cross procession “a herd without a single flag or vyshyvanka”
Hryshchuk published yet another text inciting hatred toward UOC believers.
The mastermind of church raids in Bukovyna, OCU cleric Roman Hryshchuk, published a Facebook post insulting UOC faithful.
He called the participants of the traditional procession from Chernivtsi to the Kreshchatyk Monastery “a herd screaming Russian songs” and was outraged that they carried no state symbols.
“Did you see even one Ukrainian flag there, or even one person in a vyshyvanka? No! This is zombification toward Rashism!” Hryshchuk complained.
He also expressed outrage that UOC pilgrims sang, in Russian translation, the hymn “Faith Is Eternal, Faith Is Glorious” by St. Nicholas of Serbia. In Hryshchuk’s opinion, the saint was “a Serbian imperialist and Moscow’s first satellite,” and the song reminded him of the Nazi anthem “Deutschland über alles.”
“They don’t see Russia as the cause of suffering, with Ukraine as the victim. They see Ukraine and the OCU as the cause of suffering, and themselves and the UOC as the victims! For them, this procession with screaming Russian songs is their crusade against Ukraine. It’s their vote with their feet for occupation!” Hryshchuk wrote in his hysterical post.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Hryshchuk had called for the killing of UOC believers in Chernivtsi.
