Officials stated that they wanted to inspect the "cultural heritage - Krasnohirsky caves," however, they failed to find them.

On June 25, 2025, a commission visited the intercession Krasnohirsky Monastery of the UOC in the Cherkasy region. Officials stated that they wanted to inspect the historical cultural heritage – the "Krasnohirsky Caves". As reported by the Telegram channel "Dozor", the nuns of the convent are unaware of the existence of the caves.

"Even the oldest nuns of the convent have never heard of their existence," writes "Dozor", citing their sources.

It is noted that the commission demanded to be shown the "entrance to the caves". The nuns and representatives of the Cherkasy Eparchy of the UOC agreed, provided they were shown where this entrance is located. However, representatives of the Cherkasy authorities were unable to find it.

"The nuns led the officials throughout the monastery to finally convince them of their absence," the message states. "Our sources suggest that with this cave farce, the officials planned to stage provocations with the future alienation of the Intercession Church."

As reported by the UOJ, the Prosecutor's Office demands that the Cherkasy RMA transfer four UOC churches to the state.
