Relic of St. Spyridon of Trimythous brought to Vinnytsia Eparchy
The holy relic will remain in the eparchy until July 23.
On the evening of July 18, 2025, a reliquary containing the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimythous arrived at the Holy Trinity Brailiv Convent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. According to the diocesan press service, the relic was brought to the Vinnytsia Eparchy with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
On the day of its arrival, Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia and Bar served a moleben (supplicatory prayer) before the relics.
On July 19, the reliquary was transferred to the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Cathedral in Vinnytsia, where it will remain for veneration until the conclusion of the evening service on July 20.
The faithful will have the opportunity to venerate the relic during this time.
On July 21, the feast day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the relic will be brought at 8:00 a.m. to the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vinnytsia. Following this, Metropolitan Varsonofy will celebrate the Divine Liturgy.
On July 22 at 17:00, the relics of St. Spyridon will return to the Brailiv convent.
On July 23, the feast day of Venerable Anthony of the Caves, the metropolitan will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and a moleben before the relics of St. Spyridon at the Brailiv Monastery. The Liturgy will begin at 9:00 a.m.
As previously reported by the UOJ, the Brailiv Monastery recently held celebrations marking the anniversaries of the convent.
