Persecuted UOC community in vlg. Pasichna celebrates patronal feast

Despite the loss of the church, the community maintains spiritual unity, faithfulness to the canonical Church and an active prayer life.
On August 5, 2025, on the day of the celebration of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God, in the village of Pasichna, Kyiv region, a solemn Divine Liturgy was held on the occasion of the patronal feast of the local Orthodox community of the UOC.
For six months now, the faithful have been praying in an adapted room after the seizure of the church. This is reported by the UOC Information and Education Department with reference to the parish's Facebook page.
On this special day, believers from different communities arrived in Pasichna to pray together to the Most Holy Theotokos and support the local parishioners.

During the Liturgy, intensified prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine and its defenders.
The rector of the parish, Archpriest Ioann Omelchuk, expressed sincere gratitude to the clergy and laity for participating in the joint prayer, as well as to all who worked on organizing the celebration.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in the village of Pasichna, OCU representatives cut the locks and seized the UOC church.
