Khust metropolitan consecrates altar in St. Panteleimon Chapel in Mezhyhirya

In Mezhyhirya, Metropolitan Mark celebrated the Liturgy and consecrated the altar in the chapel dedicated to the Great Martyr Panteleimon.
On August 9, 2025, the day of the commemoration of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv led the festive Divine Liturgy and consecrated the altar in the chapel dedicated to the saint, which functions at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in the city of Mezhyhirya, the Khust Eparchy Press Service reported.
His Eminence was concelebrated by Archbishop Simeon of Uhlya, Vicar of the Eparchy, as well as the clergy of the deanery.
During the service, special prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for the soldiers, and for all those in need of help and healing.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Mark addressed the faithful with a pastoral message, emphasizing that Saint Panteleimon united in his life service to God with mercy toward people, becoming an example of faith and self-sacrifice.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that an altar was consecrated in the church of the village of Kozlynychi of the Volodymyr-Volynskyi Eparchy of the UOC.
