In Vinnytsia Eparchy, religious procession from Brailiv to Pochaiv canceled

The procession was canceled due to the authorities' directive.
The press service of the Vinnytsia Eparchy announced the cancellation of the traditional procession from the Brailiv Monastery to the Pochaiv Lavra, which annually arrived in Pochaiv for the Dormition of Virgin Mary.
"Due to the ban imposed by the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, this year the traditional procession from the Brailiv Monastery to the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra will not take place," the press service wrote, citing the authorities' ban on holding mass events.
"We ask the faithful to understand this decision and intensify personal prayers for peace, victory, and the protection of Ukraine," the text states.
As a reminder, the procession has been canceled since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Nevertheless, the pilgrims went on their pilgrimage independently, bypassing populated areas where patrols were on duty. In 2023, they were dispersed by the SBU and the police.
