ROCOR head congratulates His Beatitude Onuphry on enthronement anniversary

"We rejoice that the canonical Church in the territory of Ukraine has in Your person a tireless builder of Christ's vineyard," noted Metropolitan Nicholas.

On August 17, 2025, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Bishop Nicholas sent congratulations on the eleventh anniversary of the enthronement to the UOC Primate, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. This was reported by the UOC Information and Education Department.

Metropolitan Nicholas stated that he, the episcopate, the clergy, and the God-loving flock of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia continually give thanks to the Lord for granting the Primate of the UOC spiritual and physical strength in his responsible and challenging ministry.

"We rejoice that the canonical Church in the territory of Ukraine has in Your person a tireless builder of the vineyard of Christ, who adorns the Church and sets an example for all on how to burn with passion in ministry to God and people,” the letter reads.

Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York wished His Beatitude that the days and years of his life multiply for new labors to the greater glory of the Church of Christ.

“From the heart, we wish peace, God’s help, many blessings, and comfort to You, fellow archpastors, pastors, monastics, and all those who have gathered today to lovingly and devotedly greet You,” he concluded.

As reported by the UOJ, congratulations on the 11th anniversary of the UOC Primate’s enthronement were sent by the Serbian Patriarch, the Primate of the Polish Church, and the head of the Macedonian Church.
