Khmelnytskyi Eparchy to host forum on children's spiritual education
Teachers, choirmasters, active parishioners, and all those interested in the spiritual education of children are invited.
On August 30, 2025, the educational forum "To the Heart of a Child - Through Christ" will take place in the Khmelnytskyi Diocese of the UOC. The event will be held in Khmelnytskyi, at the St. Nicholas Cathedral (2B Svobody St.), reports the eparchy's press service.
The organizers invite educators, choirmasters, active parishioners, and all who are involved in the spiritual education of children.
Forum goals:
- to inspire active service to children and youth;
- to offer practical methods for Sunday schools, choirs, and creative circles;
- to unite experienced and novice educators for experience exchange and support;
- to engage in lively and creative work based on faith and personal example;
- to create a community of like-minded individuals ready to develop the spiritual upbringing of the new generation.
The forum program includes:
✔️ motivational speeches by clergy and Sunday school educators;
✔️ workshops on pedagogy and choir service;
✔️ live examples of parish projects;
✔️ a fair of useful materials and ideas.
Among the practical directions:
- organization of a Sunday school in a village;
- how to make lessons interesting for children;
- Orthodox creativity: theater, camps, pilgrimages;
- creating a children's choir in the parish;
- presentation of ready-made educational materials and outlines.
