At St. John the Theologian Convent of UOC, tonsure into Great Schema performed

Nun Anastasia took monastic vows with the name of Schema-nun Nina, the ceremony was led by Archimandrite Isaakiy.
On August 25, 2025, the rite of tonsure into the Great Schema was performed at the St. John the Theologian Convent in the village of Kopashnevo, Zakarpattia region. This was reported by the UOC Information and Education Department with reference to the press service of the Khust Eparchy.
The sacrament was led by Archimandrite Isaakiy. During the tonsure, nun Anastasia received a new name – Schema-nun Nina.
The message emphasizes that during the tonsure, monastics take vows of complete renunciation of the world, humility, and unceasing prayer. The Great Schema is considered the highest degree of monastic feat and symbolizes the complete dedication of one's life to God.
The sisters of the convent and the faithful offered prayers for Schema-nun Nina's spiritual strength and grace-filled assistance on her further monastic path.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC performed a tonsure into the Great Schema at the Kniazhychi Monastery.
