President of Poland: Ukraine must become part of Latin civilization

Karol Nawrocki believes that Ukraine will become part of Western civilization, but not for the time being.
The new President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, stated that in the future Ukraine must become part of Latin or Western civilization, but he is opposed to its accession to NATO and the European Union while the war continues.
“Of course, I think that in the future Ukraine should become part of civilization – if we want to use adjectives, let’s say, of Latin or Western civilization,” Nawrocki said in an interview with Lithuanian broadcaster LRT.
At the same time, the Polish president stressed that “a country at war cannot join NATO, because that would mean that Poland and Lithuania would also be at war, and therefore this discussion should be postponed.”
“In my opinion, today’s discussion about Ukraine’s membership in the European Union is premature,” the Polish leader emphasized.
In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine declared that Ukraine is ready to become part of the EU already today: “We are convinced that the discussion of Ukraine’s future membership in NATO and the EU is not premature. On the contrary, it is strategically necessary in the context of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine and the entire European security system.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Nawrocki called the Banderites “murderers and perverts,” stressing that they killed more than 120,000 people.
