In Kyiv, UOC Chancellor consecrates new church

The consecration of the lower church was performed on the patronal feast of the capital parish of the “Unburnt Bush” Icon of the Mother of God
On September 17, 2025, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Antony (Pakanych), consecrated the lower church of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous of the capital parish of the “Unburnt Bush” Icon of the Mother of God. This was reported on Metropolitan Antony's Facebook page.
After the consecration of the church, the UOC Chancellor led the Divine Liturgy in it.
The hierarch was concelebrated by the vicars of the Boryspil Eparchy, Archbishop Ambrosiy of Zghurivka and Bishop Filaret of Baryshivka, as well as the secretary of the Kyiv Eparchy for the city of Kyiv, Archpriest Viktor Ivashchuk, the dean of the I Darnytskyi Deanery, Archpriest Vasyl Biliak, the rector of the church, Archpriest Heorhiy Maleta, and guests in holy orders.
During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine.
Metropolitan Antony addressed the faithful with an archpastoral word and congratulated the rector and parishioners on the consecration of the church.
As reported by the UOJ, in the village of Synevyrska Polyana in Transcarpathia, the altar in the new UOC church was consecrated.
