In Minkivtsi, a religious community reaffirms loyalty to the UOC

After attempts at the unlawful “transfer” of the religious community to the OCU, the faithful stressed that they remain in their Church.
The rector and parishioners of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Church of the UOC in the village of Minkivtsi, Rivne Oblast, recorded a video in which they confirmed their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports the Dozor Telegram channel.
According to Dozor, representatives of the OCU who had earlier held an unlawful meeting to transfer the religious community in the village have completed the process of falsifying documents for the UOC church.
“Next, according to the OCU’s standard thieving scheme, comes the forcible seizure of the shrine by activists. By falsifying documents for the house of God, people who have no connection to the parish imitated the religious community of the church. Later they announced some kind of ‘unanimous decision’ to transfer the shrine,” the journalists explain.
In their address, the rector and actual parishioners of the church emphasize that they are not going to move anywhere and remain within the UOC under His Beatitude Onuphry.
In the video, recorded after the Sunday liturgy, the faithful express the hope that they will be able to continue praying and serving God in their own shrine.
As the UOJ reported, in Minkivtsi an unlawful meeting “transferred” a UOC parish to the OCU. Later, OCU representatives, during an attempted seizure of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Church of the UOC, assaulted a wounded serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
