The majority of UOC communities in the Zaporizhzhia region are located in the occupied territory.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, not a single community of the UOC has moved to the OCU. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration in response to a request from a local resource.

"As of September 1, 2025, religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have not submitted documents for a change of subordination," stated the Deputy Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Liudmyla Bukharina.

It is reported that there are 162 parishes of the UOC in the region, 50 of which are in Zaporizhzhia. Most of the churches are located in the occupied territory.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Luke addressed the TRC regarding the mobilization of UOC priests.
