Dumenko discusses implementation of UOC ban law with acting Culture Minister

Serhiy Dumenko presented Berezhna with an OCU award.
On September 23, 2025, the head of the OCU, Serhiy Dumenko, received Acting Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna at his residence. The meeting was also attended by OCU spokesperson Yevstratit Zoria and Acting Director of the Lavra Reserve S. Kotliarevska.
It was reported that the parties discussed “initiatives to promote true Ukrainian history, as well as practical steps for implementing new provisions of state legislation in the religious sphere and countering aggressive Russian influence in the religious and cultural domains.”
It can be assumed that these formulations refer to Law 3894, which is referred to in the Verkhovna Rada as the law banning the UOC.
Dumenko also congratulated Berezhna on her appointment and presented her with an OCU award.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Cabinet of Ministers appointed an acting Minister of Culture.
