His Beatitude сelebrates Liturgy at Kyiv Church of the “Quick to Hear” Icon
Metropolitan Onuphry ordained Nazarii Rybachuk, a student of the Kyiv Theological Seminary, to the diaconate.
On November 22, 2025, the feast day of the Icon of the Mother of God “Quick to Hear,” His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the church complex in Kyiv dedicated to this wonderworking icon. The Information and Education Department of the UOC reported the event.
Concelebrating with the Primate were: Metropolitan Antрony of Boryspil and Brovary, Chancellor of the UOC; Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka; Archbishop Lavr of Irpin; Archbishop Mark of Borodianka; Bishop Arkadii of Hostomel; Bishop Kliment of Borivske; the clergy of the church complex; and visiting clergy.
During the service, His Beatitude awarded several parish clergy with liturgical distinctions.
After the reading of the Gospel, the Primate delivered a homily in which he spoke about the history of venerating the icons of the Most Holy Theotokos and the wonderworking image of the Mother of God “Quick to Hear.”
At the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in the Ukrainian land, as well as for the repose of those who perished from hunger during the years of the godless regime. The Day of Memory of the Holodomor Victims is observed on the fourth Saturday of November.

At the conclusion of the service, the Primate congratulated the faithful on the feast and bestowed his blessing upon the congregation.
As the UOJ reported, in Odesa His Beatitude recently presided over the celebration of Metropolitan Agathangel’s jubilee.
