Kyiv Eparchy of UOC delivers 12 tons of aid to AFU soldiers and civilians

From December 9 to 11, 2025, the clergy of the Kyiv Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church delivered 12 tons of humanitarian aid to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians in frontline areas as part of the regular "Mission of Mercy." This was reported by the UOC Social Department.

The trip was timed to coincide with the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple. The humanitarian mission was attended by the head of the Social Service and Charity Department of the Kyiv Eparchy, Archpriest Andriy Dvorovyi, the deputy head of the UOC Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Issues, Archpriest Kostiantyn Dvorovyi, as well as the Dean of the Bilohorodka district of the Kyiv Eparchy, Archpriest Viacheslav Lazoryk.

The clergy, together with volunteers, visited frontline territories and delivered aid to units of the Special Operations Forces, intelligence, sappers, and assault brigades serving in the Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, Pavlohrad, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Toretsk directions. The servicemen were provided with food, medicines, essential supplies, and Christmas gifts, as well as spiritual and prayer support.

Humanitarian aid was also received by civilians in Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Liman, Dobropillia, Sloviansk, and Sviatohirsk. The aid was delivered to the elderly, children, people with disabilities, and those who lost their homes due to hostilities. The clerics visited the Holy Dormition Sviatohirsk Lavra, where they handed over the aid to refugees and Christmas gifts to children, and supported the sisters of the Skete of Saint John of Shanghai of the Sergius Monastery.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the clergy of the UOC delivered medicines to the Khmelnytskyi Regional Hospital.
