17 people evacuated from Sviatohirsk Lavra
On September 1, 17 people were taken out of the Sviatohirsk Lavra, located on the front line.
On September 1, 17 people were evacuated from the Sviatohirsk Lavra, a monastery located on the front line and constantly under fire. All of them took refuge in the monastery from the war, the Sviatohirsk city military administration reports on its Facebook page.
Civilians were taken out of the Lavra with the participation of the Kramatorsk administration, the Sviatohirsk administration, representatives of the SBU, the State Emergency Service and military personnel.
At present, all people are safe.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to the abbot of the Sviatohirsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy, only a few people want to leave the monastery, the remaining several hundred people plan to stay there.
