Church consecrated in honor of Prince Vladimir in UOC Bila Tserkva Eparchy

In the village of Kovshevata, the rite of consecration was performed for a newly built church dedicated to the Equal-to-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir.

On January 25, 2026 – the Sunday after Theophany – the village of Kovshevata in the Tarashcha deanery held the consecration of a newly erected church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir. This was reported by the press service of the Bila Tserkva Eparchy of the UOC.

The rite of consecration was performed by Metropolitan Augustine of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav. After the consecration, the archpastor led the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church. During the service, Metropolitan Augustine addressed the faithful with a sermon and archpastoral instruction.

Concelebrating with Metropolitan Augustine were the rector of the church, Archpriest Volodymyr Bohdarenko; the head of the eparchial department for cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies, Archpriest Dymytrii Marandiuk; as well as Archdeacon Kostiantyn (Homeniuk) and Protodeacon Vasyl Hoiuk.

At the conclusion of the service, the ruling hierarch of the Bila Tserkva Eparchy presented church awards and blessing certificates to a group of parishioners, as a sign of gratitude for their labors and participation in the life of the community.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that His Beatitude consecrated a church in honor of Venerable Nicholas Sviatosha in Kyiv.
