Greece will implement artificial intelligence in school education.

The Ministry of Education of Greece is preparing to implement artificial intelligence (AI) in public schools as part of the "Digital Tutoring EduAI" project, reports the UOJ in Greece EEOD.gr.

The project, costing about three million euros, will allow the EduAI platform to adapt assignments to each student's level, analyze errors, and provide instant feedback. The goal is to transform the learning process into personalized digital courses.

The ministry notes that the new system will create a "smart and interactive educational environment" where AI will help students prepare for exams and fill knowledge gaps.

The initiative has sparked discussion in society. Teachers and parents have expressed doubt about whether an algorithm can replace a living educator. Experts reminded that excessive digitization can lead to the loss of critical thinking and dependence on technology.

"Technology can be a valuable tool when it complements learning and is used under the guidance of a teacher. However, when it tries to replace the teacher, the problem turns out to be much more serious than we think. This new situation opens a discussion that cannot be ignored: do we want human-centered education or education that will gradually be entrusted to algorithms?" comment the Greek publication.

As the UOJ reported, the Greek Ministry of Education explained the refusal to remove icons from courtrooms.
