Yarosh calls on OCU and UGCC to stop celebrating Pascha with Russia
The UVA commander stated that Ukrainian Christians should not celebrate Easter "like orcs".
The leader of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, former head of the radical organization "Right Sector" Dmytro Yarosh declared the necessity of changing the tradition of celebrating Pascha in Ukraine. In his address, he called on the OCU and Greek Catholics to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ "together with the whole world".
"We are not orcs after all! Therefore, I call on the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church to celebrate Pascha when the whole world celebrates it!" Yarosh wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, "God doesn't care: who, what and when celebrates", however, "it's somehow wrong that we celebrate Pascha not together with the entire Christian world, but separately".
At the end of his post, along with an appeal to the OCU and the UGCC, the radical expressed another wish "that the occupiers die as much as possible."
As the UOJ wrote, Dumenko awarded Yarosh with a church order.
