US Vice President: UFOs are demons, not aliens

On March 28, 2026, US Vice President James David Vance stated that he considers UFOs to be demons rather than aliens, linking this to a religious understanding of such phenomena. He made this statement in an interview with political commentator Benny Johnson, reports People magazine.
In the interview, Vance revealed that after taking office, he devoted significant attention to the topic of unidentified flying objects and was even "obsessed" with this issue. However, later, according to him, he focused on more pressing tasks, including the economy and national security.
"I don't think they're aliens. At any rate, I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion," he noted, explaining his position through religious beliefs.
The Vice President emphasized that he views such phenomena through the lens of Christianity. He recalled that he grew up as an atheist, but at around age 30 converted to Catholicism, which influenced his worldview. According to him, Christian tradition allows for the existence of difficult-to-explain phenomena, but does not necessarily link them to extraterrestrial life.
Additionally, Vance reported that the US administration is working on publishing government documents related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Donald Trump had previously announced his intention to declassify such materials, and this work, according to him, continues.
