Hundreds gather for Satanic event in Baltimore
More than 23,000 people signed a petition opposing the satanic gathering in Baltimore.
About 400 people attended an event titled “The Satanic Revival” in Baltimore, USA. Most participants, dressed in gothic style, gathered at Mobtown Ballroom to hear speeches by their leaders, listen to live music, and to "hail Satan," The Spokesman-Review reported.
The organizers officially stated that their group does not believe in the real existence of Satan or other supernatural powers. Instead, they use the image of the devil as a symbol of opposition to what they regard as “arbitrary authority.”
At the gathering, speakers discussed the promotion of abortion rights, gender ideology, and the experiences of people who identify as transgender. Representatives of the organization also touted their “achievements,” including lawsuits against Christian monuments and campaigns for bodily autonomy.
Despite attempts by Satanists to present their activity as socially useful, their initiatives drew serious public opposition. More than 23,000 people spoke out against the event in Baltimore. The American Society for the Defense of Tradition organized an online petition demanding that the event be banned, calling it an embodiment of evil that "has no place in the public square."
As the UOJ reported, a Satanist thanked Zelensky for a pentagram ritual near the Lavra.
