UOC faithful hold traditional cross procession for peace in Radyvyliv
The prayer procession was accompanied by icons containing particles of the relics of great Orthodox saints.
On June 2, 2026, faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church held their annual cross procession in Radyvyliv. The procession began at the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky after the early Divine Liturgy and a joint prayer for peace in Ukraine, the Rivne Eparchy reported.
The column of worshippers visited the community of Balky village, where clergy served a moleben to Archangel Michael near the veneration cross. The faithful then prayed in the churches of St. Amphilochius of Pochaiv and the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, before completing their prayerful route back at the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky.
Throughout the procession, the faithful knelt as icons containing particles of the relics of St. Alexander Nevsky, Great Martyr Panteleimon, and Saints Job and Amphilochius of Pochaiv were carried over them.
The pilgrims paid special attention to the frail and ill residents of the city. Participants visited those who, because of their health, had remained at home, giving them the opportunity to venerate the holy icons and receive anointing with blessed oil. During the prayer, a light rain began to fall, which the faithful received as a special blessing from God for all who were praying for their homeland.
As the UOJ reported, UOC faithful in Kozelshchansk held a cross procession with an icon of the Mother of God.
