The reason for Metropolitan Theodosius's deteriorating health has become known
An MRI scan revealed damage to the hierarch's head and spine.
Doctors at the cardiology hospital performed an MRI scan and comprehensive diagnostics on Metropolitan Theodosius to clarify his diagnosis. According to sources of the UOJ in the Cherkasy diocese, the examination confirmed damage to the cervical spine and head.
The hierarch sustained these injuries during an attack by militants on the cathedral in Cherkasy: one of the radicals struck the archbishop on the head with a wooden stick.
At present, the hierarch's general condition is further complicated by stage 3 chronic arterial hypertension, which is why cardiologists insisted on his immediate hospitalization in the ward under round-the-clock specialist supervision.
As the UOJ reported, an activist who fired a shot in the Cherkasy cathedral staged a provocation against a UOC hierarch.
