In Kyiv, a UOC church was damaged due to shelling
As a result of the attack, windows were blown out and walls cracked in the UOC church.
On the night of July 2, as a result of Russian shelling of Kyiv, the UOC church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was damaged. This was reported by the UOC Information Center.
In the building, which belongs to the First Darnytsia Deanery, windows were blown out, and shrapnel damaged icons, the altar, and the walls. The blast wave damaged the doors, window frames, and the church shop building, while cracks appeared on the walls of the church itself.
The surrounding church grounds were also damaged. The rector of the parish, Archpriest Vasyl Klym, appealed to all those who care to help with the restoration of the shrine.
As the UOJ reported, a UOC church in Yunakivka, Sumy region, was destroyed as a result of shelling.
