Chernihiv Theological School is accepting applicants for its pastoral and choir-director (regent) departments, offering free tuition along with accommodation and meals.

On July 2, the Chernihiv Theological School for Psalmists and Choir Directors announced the start of admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year, according to the UOC Information and Education Department.

The enrollment campaign has been launched with the blessing of the acting rector, Archbishop Nikodym of Liubech. The school offers pastoral and regent programs, each with a three-year course of study.

Full-time, dual, and correspondence study options are available. Tuition is free, and students are provided with accommodation and meals. Applicants entering after the ninth grade may also complete their full secondary education in Chernihiv while studying at the school.

Applications and online registration will be accepted from June 25 through August 23, 2026. Entrance examinations are scheduled for August 24.

Prospective students will be required to write an essay on a Gospel theme, complete an interview on Holy Scripture and the basics of the Orthodox faith, and demonstrate skills in church singing, Church Slavonic reading, and knowledge of the principal Orthodox prayers.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Kyiv’s theological schools had begun accepting applications for the new academic year.
