TCC Abducted a Priest of the UPC Rivne Diocese
The rector of the parish in Stavrov was mobilized due to the absence of a deferment.
In the Volyn region, employees of the TCC called up for service the cleric of the Rivne Diocese of the UPC, Archpriest Vitaliy Tsipkailo. The incident occurred on July 2, 2026, during mobilization activities. This was reported by the Rivne Diocese on Facebook.
Father Vitaliy serves as the rector of St. Michael's Church in the village of Stavrov of the Rivne Diocese. According to available information, the clergyman did not have an officially issued deferment from conscription.
The rector of the Stavrov parish was born on January 9, 1983. In 2007, he graduated from the Volyn Theological Seminary. He began his path in priestly orders in 2005, and has headed St. Michael's Church in Stavrov since November 2009. Believers are asked to pray fervently for Archpriest Vitaliy.
As the SPJ reported, a cleric of the Rivne Diocese was sent to a military unit after mobilization.
