Dumenko “consecrates” bust of Mazepa at Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
The head of the OCU, having "blessed" a bust of Hetman Mazepa at the Lavra, declared the dissipation of the spirit of the "Russian world."
The head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, on July 14 performed the rite of "blessing" of a bust of Hetman Mazepa at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This was reported by the OCU press service.
Together with Epifaniy, representatives of the authorities and the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" took part in the event.
In the text of his address, Dumenko stated that "the restoration of historical truth and memory" is directly linked to the revival of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. And this "restoration of historical memory," according to him, "provokes a sharp reaction from the enemy."
Epifaniy did not fail to mention that a National Pantheon should appear near the territory of the Lavra, where the memory of "celebrated Ukrainians scattered throughout the world" would be honored — those whose graves, he claimed, "were deliberately destroyed by the aggressor country."
Concluding his speech, he declared that the spirit of the "Russian world" is allegedly gradually leaving the monastery. "The sinister and murderous spirit of the 'Russian world' is gradually being dispelled from this holy monastery," Epifaniy noted.
As the SPJ reported, the Ministry of Culture "opened" the Far Caves of the Lavra for the OCU.
