Summer Orthodox camps for children have opened in UOC dioceses
In the Rivne, Mukachevo, and Odessa dioceses, spiritual talks, prayers, sports, and creative activities have been prepared for children and youth.
On July 13–14, 2026, annual summer Orthodox camps for children and youth opened in the Rivne, Mukachevo, and Odessa dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC, citing diocesan press services.
In the Rivne Diocese, the children's and youth camp "Under the Protection of the Mother of God" and the annual congress of Orthodox youth of the Zdolbuniv deanery have begun their work. More than 200 children and teenagers are taking part in communal prayers, catechetical talks, sports competitions, creative activities, and team games. Spiritual guidance for the participants is provided by clergy accompanying each group throughout the entire session.
In the Mukachevo Diocese, the children's Orthodox camp "Anastasis" has opened on the grounds of the Resurrection Men's Monastery in Uzhhorod. More than 50 children from various parishes of the diocese are participating. The opening of the camp began with a moleben, after which Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod spoke with the children, answered their questions about spiritual life, and wished them to be strengthened in faith, to make new friends, and to spend their time profitably.
In the Odessa Diocese, the first session of the annual tent camp "Skinia," organized by the Tarutyne deanery together with the Budjak community, has begun. The camp is located in a forest near the village of Novodolynske. At the opening, Bishop Alipiy of Tarutyne blessed the participants and wished the children an interesting, safe, and spiritually beneficial rest. The camp program includes prayers, spiritual gatherings, active games, and communal recreation in nature.
Earlier, the SPJ reported that the youth congress "Cup of Unity" had launched in the Rivne Diocese.
