Court sets date for next hearing in Metropolitan Longin's case
Following another session of the Hertsa Court, the UOC hierarch thanked the faithful for their support.
On July 14, 2026, after another hearing at the Hertsa District Court, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny spoke to the faithful who had gathered to support him. A video of his address was posted on the Bancheny Monastery YouTube channel.
The hierarch thanked the clergy and laity for their prayers and support. He said that the hearing had been postponed because no interpreter was available.
The judges also declined the metropolitan's request to schedule the next court hearing for November 1, citing his responsibilities as the guardian of children whose school year begins in the autumn.
The next hearing in the metropolitan's case is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
As the UOJ previously reported, Metropolitan Longin stated after a court session that the hearings are being conducted under the rule of law.
