A UOC church in the Konotop Diocese has been destroyed by Russian shelling
The strike destroyed the walls, roof, altar, and unique iconostasis of the church in Semyanivka.
In the village of Semyanivka, Sumy region, a strike completely destroyed a church of the Konotop Diocese of the UOC. This was reported by the UOC Information Center.
The attack occurred on the night of July 22. As a result of a direct hit by a shell and the subsequent fire, the building burned to the ground.
The fire destroyed the walls, roof, altar, and unique iconostasis. The church archive and all church vessels also perished in the flames. Now, only charred beams, fragments of brickwork, and the ruins of the foundation remain at the site of the shrine.
As the UOJ reported, 75 cases have been opened in the Kherson region regarding the shelling of UOC churches and other denominations.
