Diplomat Roman Shepelyak expressed gratitude to Archbishop Abel for his comprehensive assistance to the Ukrainian community.

Ukraine's Consul General in Lublin Roman Shepelyak met with Archbishop Abel of the Polish Orthodox Church.

The interlocutors discussed the pastoral care of believers, the activities of the Orthodox community, and the importance of supporting Ukrainians living in Poland.

During the talks, the Ukrainian diplomat thanked the Archbishop of Lublin and Chelm for the open dialogue. Roman Shepelyak expressed gratitude to the hierarch for his attention to the spiritual needs of his compatriots and for his support of the Ukrainian community.

As the Union of Orthodox Journalists reported, Archbishop Abel believes that the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church today "bear the historical Cross of Christ."
