TRC employees abduct UOC priest in Dnipropetrovsk region
At dawn, a cleric of the Kamianske Eparchy of the UOC was forcibly taken to the TRC and is being held without explanation.
On June 19, 2025, it became known about the forcible abduction of a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to sources, around 5 a.m., employees of the Kamianske TRC detained Fr. Rostislav (Ruslan) Kalinovsky, a cleric of the Kamianske Eparchy of the UOC, and took him in an unknown direction.
The clergyman was taken through a military medical commission (MMC) without explanation, after which he was brought to the Pyatykhatky TRC, where he is currently located. According to available information, Fr. Rostislav's mobile phone was confiscated, but a man nearby allowed him to use his phone to contact his family.
Fr. Rostislav serves in a small parish that requires constant care and investment. To support the church and provide for his family, he works as a metal caster at the "Kametstal" enterprise. The priest was detained this morning on his way to work.
It is known that Fr. Rostislav has a difficult family situation: his wife is a Group III disabled person, his mother suffers from a severe form of asthma, and his brother serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We ask everyone to offer prayers for Father Rostislav, his family, and spiritual children," the Kamianske Eparchy urges the faithful.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the TRC had abducted and detained a UOC priest in the Odessa region.
