Fr. Rostyslav, who was lured to the military enlistment office for a second time, has been sent to a military unit. His family is pleading for help in securing his release.

Priest Rostyslav Kalynovskyi, who was once again summoned to the military enlistment office (TRC) under the pretext of coordinating documents, has now been taken to a military unit. UOJ was informed of this by the priest’s mother. According to her, he briefly managed to get in touch for a few seconds, during which he said that his cassock had been taken away and he was to be dressed in military uniform. His phone was also confiscated.

Fr. Rostyslav’s mother and wife are in despair. Both women are classified as Group III disabled and are now left without any support. The priest’s brother is also currently serving at the front. The family is asking for assistance in securing Fr. Rostyslav’s release.

“We’re left face to face with God alone – begging you for help,” his mother pleaded emotionally.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that on June 19, 2025, officers from the Kamianske TRC detained Fr. Rostyslav and, without any explanation, forced him to undergo a military medical commission (MMC), after which he was transferred to the Pyatykhatky TRC. On June 20, the priest was driven around to various military units all day, none of which would accept him. Two days later, he was released. However, on June 24, he was once again taken back to the TRC.
