About ten thousand believers, together with the clergy, prayed for peace in Ukraine.
On August 17, 2025, the city of Khust hosted the traditional religious procession with the relics of the Holy Martyr Gabriel of Białystok and other local saints.
About ten thousand believers, together with numerous clergy, offered prayers to the Lord, asking for peace in Ukraine and eternal memory for the fallen warriors-defenders.
The procession was led by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv. Archbishop Simeon of Uhlia, Bishop Benjamin of Skadovsk, and Bishop Mark of Rakhiv also participated in the prayerful procession.
The participants of the procession walked through the streets of the city, offering prayers for peace in Ukraine and commemorating the fallen warriors. At the Alley of Warriors, the clergy conducted a litany in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the Homeland.
The event concluded at the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral, where Metropolitan Mark granted blessings to all those gathered.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in the Vinnytsia region, the procession from Brailiv to Pochaiv was canceled due to a government ban.
