Zelensky congratulates Jews on Rosh Hashanah

The President wished for the days of celebrating the Jewish New Year to "become the beginning of renewal and mutual understanding".
President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the Jewish community on Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), reports the United Jewish Community of Ukraine on Telegram on September 22, 2025.
In his address to the Jews, Zelensky expressed hope that the new year would bring peace, tranquility, and security, and that "the festive days would mark the beginning of renewal and mutual understanding".
Also, in his congratulations on the Jewish New Year, the President wished that the next year would be "a year of victory of good over evil, bringing peace, calm, and comfort to every family, particularly to all defenders of Ukraine, both men and women".
As reported on the Telegram channel, as of September 22, 35,000 Hasidim had already arrived in Uman for the Rosh Hashanah celebration. 10,000 of them participated in a mass prayer at noon.
The UOJ reported that additional restrictions were introduced in the city before the arrival of Israeli pilgrims.
