The head of state expressed hope for life’s victory over death and wished Ukrainians God’s grace under the protection of “brave warriors.”

On April 5, 2026, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians with an Easter greeting. He said that in these difficult times, hope for the triumph of life over death and truth over falsehood feels “stronger than ever.”

The president wished that each person’s strength of spirit would help overcome “trouble and darkness,” mentioning the occupation and Shahed drone attacks. According to him, the Resurrection of the Lord is precisely what symbolizes the triumph of good. “May every prayer for protection from evil be heard today,” the head of state stressed. He also expressed hope that faith would unite “kind hearts” and strengthen those defending their homes.

The president also said he hoped that, through faith, every nation would move closer to true security. In closing, he wished Ukrainians God’s grace and a peaceful life under the protection of “brave warriors.”

He ended his message with the words: “We believe in peace! We believe in Ukraine!”

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Zelensky had discussed the “development of the church in Ukraine” with Patriarch Bartholomew.
