The UOC Rivne Diocese Hosts Orthodox Youth Congress
More than 100 young men and women will spend several days on the shore of a lake in the Zdolbuniv Deanery of the UOC Rivne Diocese.
On July 13, 2026, the annual Orthodox youth congress began in the Zdolbuniv Deanery of the UOC Rivne Diocese, according to the diocesan press service.
More than 100 young men and women over the age of 14 will spend several days on the shore of a lake, combining communal prayer, spiritual fellowship, and outdoor recreation. According to the organizers, the location was chosen specifically so that participants could step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, spend time in nature, pray in silence, and be strengthened in the Orthodox faith.
The congress opened with a communal prayer, after which the youth were divided into six age groups. Each group has been assigned a clergyman who will accompany the participants throughout the entire event, conduct Bible study hours and spiritual conversations, answer questions, and help maintain the daily schedule.
In addition to the spiritual component, sporting competitions, creative activities, team games, meetings, new acquaintances, and shared leisure have been prepared for the participants. The organizers note that the main goal of the congress is to create conditions for the spiritual growth of young people, the strengthening of friendships, and a deeper acquaintance with the Orthodox tradition.
The UOJ previously reported that an Orthodox youth forum with 2,400 participants will be held in Bucharest.
