TRC detains protodeacon of Neshcheriv Monastery
The clergyman was taken away on his way home from the Sunday Liturgy.
On August 9, 2026, TRC officers took Protodeacon Oleksandr Yuvko, a cleric of Neshcheriv Monastery. The monastery reported the incident in a Facebook post.
According to the post, the protodeacon was taken away while returning home after the Sunday service. The authors of the post asked the faithful to pray for him.
The publication provided no further details – including the exact location where he was detained, what the TRC officers did afterward, or what happened to the protodeacon.
As the UOJ reported, a hotline has been launched to assist UOC clergy with mobilization-related issues.
