Volyn Eparchy of UOC holds "Favor" youth festival
The Orthodox youth forum will last until the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.
On August 24, the Orthodox youth festival "Favor" ("Tabor") launched in the Volyn Eparchy of the UOC. The organizers timed the opening of the event to coincide with Ukrainian Independence Day, and the forum will conclude on the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos — August 28, reports the UOC Information Center.
During the first two days, around 200 participants visited the festival grounds. The youth pray, communicate, and reflect on important questions of personal and religious life.
On the opening evening, the organizers proposed the following topic for discussion: "What kind of person did God intend us to be." In the following days, the young people will explore other important questions:
- "Where is God when there is so much grief around?"
- "Where do you find strength when the light goes out?"
- "What does Christianity give me?"
In addition to lectures and thematic gatherings, the festival program includes training sessions, communal reading of Holy Scripture, and sporting competitions. Those who wish to do so can still join the Orthodox youth gatherings.
As the UOJ reported, UOC eparchies held summer camps and theological gatherings for youth.
