New chapel consecrated in Hlukhiv

Metropolitan Roman of Konotop and Hlukhiv consecrated a new chapel and church bells in Hlukhiv, repors the UOC Information Center.

The consecration took place on July 13 on the grounds of the Churh of the Hlynska Icon of the Mother of God. The archpastor performed the rite of consecration following a joint prayer with the clergy and numerous laypeople.

In his homily, the hierarch emphasized the spiritual significance of church bell ringing, calling it "a symbol of God's call to repentance, unity, and sincere prayer." After the completion of the rite, all those present heard the ringing of the newly consecrated bells for the first time.

Metropolitan Roman also presented church awards to those who had actively labored for the glory of the Church and participated in the construction of the new chapel.

As the UOJ reported, the vicar of the Khust Eparchy consecrated a new chapel in the settlement of Yasinia.
