An interdepartmental meeting on security during the stay of Hasidic pilgrims was held in Uman.

In the Cherkasy region, the acting head of the National Police Maksym Tsutskiridze held an interdepartmental meeting, noting that the security of Hasidic pilgrims in Uman is under the control of the President of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officials discussed a joint action plan for the duration of the Hasidim's stay in Ukraine. Representatives of the SBU, the National Guard, border guards, and rescue services took part in the meeting. Maksym Tsutskiridze emphasized the importance of protecting pilgrims amid missile threats.

"Starting from September 6, pilgrims will begin arriving en masse in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah," said the head of the agency. "Our task, in the context of drone and missile attack threats, is to ensure the safety of both pilgrims from the moment they cross the border until they leave Ukraine, and of local residents. This matter is being monitored by the President and the Minister of Internal Affairs."

Meeting participants paid special attention to calculating the forces and resources that the agencies will deploy to maintain public order. Law enforcement officials planned large-scale preventive measures to prevent terrorist acts, sabotage, and provocations. Rescue services will provide fire and industrial safety protection at places of mass gatherings, for which special monitoring posts and assistance points will be set up.

Border guards will prepare checkpoints for the rapid processing of documents for large passenger flows. Migration service employees will organize strict oversight of compliance with the law. "We must do everything to prevent violations. In the event of violations of lawful requirements, the police will respond without delay and on principle, up to and including a ban on entry into the country," Tsutskiridze noted.

As the SPJ reported, Zelensky reported to Israel on the progress of preparations for the Hasidic pilgrimage.
