The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, in 2026 will take place from September 11 to 13. The head of the military administration, Ihor Taburets, held the meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The regional head coordinated the work of agencies responsible for security, medicine, transport, and sanitary measures.
"All services must be ready to operate in an enhanced mode," said Ihor Taburets. The regional head instructed the relevant agencies to synchronize key tasks. The Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Cherkasy Oblast, Volodymyr Papach, presented a plan of sanitary measures.
The Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention has strengthened weekly epidemiological surveillance. Specialists are carrying out disinfection and deratization in Uman. Medical workers have updated response plans in case of outbreaks of infectious diseases and poisonings. Center specialists are conducting joint exercises with hospital staff, have created a logistical reserve, and have prepared additional personnel in case the situation deteriorates.
